From on high, to all.
A Universal Life Church Ministry
Who we are
We are a religious order within the Universal Life Church. Two things fill our days. We contemplate Christ, the one the Creator sent to make himself known. And we pray for humanity. That is the whole of it.
Everyone is welcome here. We hold that one Light has been given to every people and every age, and we honour it wherever we find it.
What we do
We keep watch. Members keep a watch that runs through every hour, holding on to the message Christ carried: what he said about the heavens, about the light given to every person born, about the other sheep and the many rooms in the Father's house.
We pray for humanity. Every hour of the watch carries people in it. This is how we stand for them, in body and in spirit, against whatever would do them harm. We ask for peace first and in everything.
We defend humanity. Christ told us plainly what is set against us and what it does. It lies and it destroys. He said the thief comes to steal and to kill and to destroy, and he called the enemy a murderer from the beginning and the father of lies. He also told us how it usually arrives: while men slept, an enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat.
What we believe
All of it rests on scripture. In short:
One creation, made through the Word.
The heavens are populated, by a host God made.
The Word came as the Creator's own messenger and made him known.
That Word became a man On Earth, Jesus of Nazareth, and spoke what the Father gave him to speak.
One Light, given to every people and every age, and to whatever worlds exist.
The Word reaches past this world.
The rule Christ gave for how we treat each other is owed to whatever lives.
Where scripture speaks, we say so. Where it is quiet, we sit with the question and keep our peace. We publish this so it is there for anyone who wants it, and your conclusions stay your own.
But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand.
EZEKIEL 33:6
